Pizza King was one of Mt. Pleasant's first pizzerias, established back in 1962. While Pisanello's is my favorite pizza spot in town, Pizza King makes the top three alongside The Cabin. If you're looking for the best value from a local pizza place, Pizza King is tough to beat (you can get an XL pizza and an order of cheese sticks for about the same price as an XL Pisanello's pizza alone). Good sauce, a nice crust with just the right amount of crunch and an all around good pizza. It may not look like much from the outside of the building, but it's what's inside the pizza box that counts and Pizza King is a solid choice if you're looking for some tasty non-chain pizza in Mt. Pleasant.
And for those non-pizza lovers, fear not: you have your pick of a number of tasty subs. The quality is good (comparable to a Mancino's grinder), with the $5.99 lunch combo being a great deal. read more
