We went to Plaza Azteca tonight for dinner since it's new to the area and we haven't tried it yet. When we arrived there was about a 10-15 minute wait for a table and it was very crowded for a Wednesday night. We went over to the bar to grab drinks while waiting for our table. The drink prices were much higher than other restaurants in the area. Most drinks were $20 and up. We had mango and strawberry margaritas. The flavoring tasted too fake and sweet for my liking. We were seated in a booth, which looked nice but weren't very comfortable and was half wiped down. They gave us complimentary chips, salsa, and another dip. The other dip was unique and pretty good. We had the mex burrito and the San Jose burrito. My mex burrito had steak and unfortunately they used the cheapest steak and it was overcooked. The San Jose burrito chicken had good flavor and my fiancé enjoyed it. The server was nonexistent throughout the entire meal and we had to waive him down for boxes and the check. We walked out and I forgot my To-go box, and I realized this within 30 seconds of leaving. By the time I got back inside, the box was gone. I was disappointed to see this seeing that they weren't attentive at all during our dinner, but cleared the Togo box in under a minute. Overall the restaurant was just okay. read more
