Beautiful plaza in Recoleta near the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. Walk from the museum to enjoy a relaxing walk through the park which features a sculpture dedicated to Louis Braille, who created the Braille language, and the Monument of France to Argentina. The French monument was a gift to commemorate the centennial anniversary in 1910. The four bronze bas-reliefs honor historical milestones: Primera Junta and Crossing the Andes for Argentina and Storming the Bastille and Declaration of Rights for France. The two female figures on the top of the monument represent Argentina and France guided by an Angel that represents glory. It also honors writer Emile Zola. Nice plaza for a walk on a sunny Saturday morning. read more
