This massage was a birthday gift from a family member. The massage itself was great but the lead-in was definitely not. Trying to carry as little as possible into the spa, I brought only enough money to give the masseuse a tip; the woman at reception told me that I need to pay tax on the Groupon, which would mean I could not give the masseuse her full tip. I was not carrying any other money, just the tip & my car keys so it was very uncomfortable at the end when I had so little money left over to give a respectable tip after paying the tax. Just to add, this is not exactly a "Zen-like" spa; very basic and the meditative, piped-in music cannot compete with the noise of trucks, horns & passing trains right outside the windows. I am thankful for the massage; it felt great. The rest of the ambiance & paying the tax issues were not so great. read more
