Had a great time checking out PopUp Bagels. Despite the name, it's not a temporary pop-up shop it's a permanent spot serving some seriously good bagels. They keep things simple with five bagel options: plain, everything, poppy seed, salt, and sesame. The bagels are served fresh and warm, and you can definitely taste the difference.
One thing that makes them unique is their rotating selection of schmears. There's a minimum order of three bagels, but it includes a schmear. On my visit, I tried the elote and scallion schmears, and both were excellent. It seems like they switch up the flavors regularly, which gives you a reason to come back and try something new.
The line was pretty long, but it moved quickly and was absolutely worth the wait. The atmosphere inside is lively and energetic, although seating is limited to just a couple of high-top seats, so most people grab their bagels and go.
Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely make another trip out to try some of the other schmear flavors. read more
