Precise Alterations left me with a damaged and poorly altered dress only 3 weeks before my wedding, resulting in $1300 of additional alterations needed and irreversible damage to my dress. Yong insisted that she could take in the waist where I wanted it to be. Little did I know that her attempt would reconstruct the dress to be entirely asymmetrical, cause irreversible stretching, and result in the waistline being 2 inches smaller than my waist measures (pictured). The cherry on top was her cutting the leftover fabric so another seamstress could not take it back out without a massive gap in the fabric. Additionally, the dress had pin pricks and blood stains throughout, making it look worn. The hem was so uneven it could have been freehanded by a child (also pictured). The freshwater pearl straps had been unnecessarily detached from the dress and re-affixed at the wrong location, causing them to be loose and ill-fitting. This also caused a strap to pop off during my first dance and ruined all of the professional photography from this moment. Up until the 5th appointment she assured me she could get the job done, but unfortunately my lack of sewing knowledge prevented me from seeing the warning signs. It was then that I expressed I was still unhappy and Yong said that she was "done with the dress" and handed me a check for a full refund of what I paid her. Fast forward to me finding another seamstress who said I am now the 2nd bride to come to her seeking new alterations after being botched by Yong's alterations. While the new seamstress did her best, some things simply couldn't be fixed. PLEASE believe me when I tell you that you don't want to bring the most important dress of your life to someone that is going to lie about her ability to complete the finished product and rid herself of the burden by refunding you and telling you to leave, leaving you with zero path to resolution 3 weeks before your wedding. read more
