Contacted Mr. Fixer to repair my master bedroom closet that collapsed (found them on Craigslist). "Ronnie" was the person who came out to get an idea of the work I needed done and take measurements. Received an estimate the next day and I was able to have the work completed right away.
The finished result was a sturdier unit that consists of a traditional wood shelf above the bar to hang my clothes on, (a major upgrade from the rinky-dink wire shelving unit that builders use), and, it was installed higher because I'm tall.
As far as the estimate I received, I can't say whether or not it was low, mid-range or high, as I didn't get a second estimate. To be honest, I was anxious to get the closet repaired and I was impressed by their response time and the reviews on their website, that I didn't have a problem paying the quoted price.
There was one part of my experience I did not like... Ronnie used my upstairs bathroom - the bathroom my family uses - without asking. I'm "touchy" about random people using the upper-level bathrooms in my home. Apparently he thought it was ok to use this bathroom since it was near the area he was working; at any rate, I didn't complain, but it was a lesson learned... immediately mention to contractors what bathroom to use, because not all of them think to ask.
To sum up my review, I'm very pleased and I will certainly keep this company in mind for future repairs or remodeling projects. read more
