We took 6 connecting rods to get machined to fit the Crank journal on our 216 Chevy stove bolt engine. We also gave them two old connecting rods so he can machine the new rods the same width as the 2 old ones. When we get them back, 3 we're the same at 1.40 a little tight than what we wanted but they were sitting in the Crank journal. The other 3 where off. I tried every way, upside down, cap off the rods, installed the piston, took out the piston! The connecting rods DID NOT FIT!!!! I measured them with a micrometer and two were 1.41 and the 3rd one was at 1.43 he missed, didn't even touch it! I then measured all six old connecting rods all the rods measured 1.39, I don't know what stuff he was smoking but pass that homie!!!! So then I call precision engine and tell them the problem and the older assistant tries to tell me I'm installing it wrong. The beef is not with the old man because he believes they check their work and they should all measure the same. We decided bring them in Tuesday and we will see and measure, I agreed because talk is cheap and seeing is believing. Tuesday comes around I take it in and he agrees with me. 3 measured the same and 3 we're different! and he will let us know when they are done. I'm thinking they are going to give us some kind of deal for the 3 they didn't do right so I tell them go ahead and do them all 1.38 so I can get my clearance. We get a phone call a couple days later that they are done and charge us again and that it was only one they missed, straight up lying! But I know it's Shane a Male Karen who tries to say they were the same. I may not have as many years as him building engines but it's not Rocket Science to check your work which he didn't! We go in with my friends because they were there too and Shane is just lying. Then he tries to shush me and I tell him don't shush me I was ready to slap the hair off his bald head. I'm not the one to be disrespected. And sorry Shane that you think you didn't mess up but you did and that's the truth. Since we see he is not gonna give us a better deal, we decided to just pay him and never go there again! We waisted so much time with this liar! In other words DON'T GO TO PRECISION ENGINE, they over charge, no integrity, not honest! Send your stuff out or drive it somewhere else it will be worth it and cheaper! read more
