I attempted to cancel my booking two weeks in advance on the first business day after booking, they said it wasn't possible and that the split is "clearly stated on their Instagram, website, and terms and conditions." I was unable to find anything regarding the split on their Instagram and would hardly call one mention hidden in their FAQ section of their website and terms "clearly stated." Edit: Preloved's communication has been extremely passive aggressive, with them sending screenshots of all the places the split is stated rather than doing any work to resolve the issue. I've attached the screenshots, which include: -An instagram highlight -a mention in the second paragraph of the caption of an instagram reel -an image of the terms of service, which is displayed as an expandable link that you do not have to read before agreeing to -The FAQ's on their website If these are the only mentions of this that they can provide, two of which are on social media that is not involved in the booking process, they are being willfully deceiving. Additionally, not only is there no option of cancellation (which also not mentioned anywhere until I reached out to them), but if I choose not to set up a booth due to time constraints I am charged an extra $20. Overall I am extremely frustrated with this. If they were acting in good faith there is no reason for me not to be able to cancel two weeks in advance on the first business day after my booking after realizing I would not have time with my schoolwork and that the split would not make it worth it. I will no longer be supporting this business and I would encourage any other college students to avoid it and just donate your clothes to the Family Crisis Center down the road. read more
