I visited Privilege Bar and Restaurant on the South Side of Chicago and had a decent experience overall. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the mature crowd. They have a small private parking lot, which is convenient but fills up quickly.
One of the highlights was the atmosphere--they had live music playing, which made for a fun and entertaining vibe. There was also a party going on, so it was definitely a loud and lively scene.
I ordered shrimp, sliders, and fries, and while the food was okay, it didn't quite match the higher price point. My drink, The Boss (Maker's Mark, lemon, and orange), was just average--not particularly strong or memorable.
One thing to note is their happy hour from Wednesday to Sunday (4 PM - 7 PM), which might be worth checking out for deals. Overall, Privilege is a good spot to hang out with friends and enjoy live music, but if you're looking for top-tier food and drinks, there are better options elsewhere. I'd come back for the atmosphere more than the dining experience.
Would I return? Yes, but mainly for the entertainment. read more
