After a night of sleeping on the wrong pillow and waking up with a pinched nerve like none other, I was having some serious pain shooting down my arm and into my fingers. No amount of stretching, over the counter pain meds, or hopes and prayers could solve this; it was something else and it needed serious attention. I am so glad I hobbled my way into see Dr. Matt. He recently opened his own local practice after branching out from another national group. Word to the wise, you will find PRO-DYNAMIX Chiropractic located inside of Sola Salon Studios, in the Sunbright Corner building.
I've been to other chiros in the past, but Dr. Matt took the time to listen to what was going on, and he used adjustment techniques which focussed directly on my shoulder, my elbow, my wrist and fingers. It was almost like magic, the level 12, knives stabbing my shoulder, can't feel my finger tips level of pain and agony had dropped to something I could actually live with for the moment. I could once again sit up straight without wincing. It only took a few more visits to get from that 12 down to a 1 or 2 and boy was life feeling like it's returning to normal again.
Of course Dr Matt isn't just a one trick pony, some say his practice is E(ven)-Stim(ulating). That estim device does things like improve blood flow and and blocks muscle pain. You'll be saying "I hear that" if he's taking out that ultra"sound" device to penetrate tissue to get that inflammation moving in and out of the affected area, it really promotes healing at the cellular level. He offers dryneedling if you're needing to really attack those trigger points, this can help calm those down to really help those muscles relax. He even offers cupping which brings fluid to the targeted area.
I'm always excited to see a small business owner take the leap of faith to carve their own path in success. I think the stats are something like 70% of your dollars stay in your community when you shop local and only 40% of your dollars stay local when you're spending with a national brand. I'm so glad I found this spot, because Dr Matt had been such a great resource for managing this pain in the neck. read more
