TLDR - no frills nail place but good service and affordable! Came here on a whim since my friend mentioned a good place in Brisbane but didn't share the name of the place Called today for a same day appt and locked in 6pm and didn't realize they close at 6 until I arrived :( (to which they were still opened) I had to wait 30 mins - which I don't believe it's the nail techs fault, the folks before were a bit indecisive and the nail techs wants to be sure they leave happy (the beginning of my observation of their service) I had my my nails done in Korea with some nail art a month before and needed them off and shorten, but I had bad experiences with places filing into my nail bed which made them even weaker. I requested Sarah after reading that she takes care of the nail and this is ABSOLUTELY true. She took awhile removing my gel nails and being very careful not going too deep. She did leave some former gel which I was fine with The filing could be better, I don't think it's quite even still and I didn't my cuticles cut, but she still did a little cleaning with her cutter (which I didn't see her pull from the sanitizing station, she did an okay job pushing back the cuticles I saw the cat eye options and opted for cat eye between 2 colors and Sarah tested both for me to see. She did 2 coats of base which could be due to my nail with the leftover gel but I'm not 100% into it cuz it made it look thicker. All in all, it was about 5 coats, maybe it's the cat eye but it looks a bit thick to me Overall, I finished by 7:30 so all in all, the whole service was about an hour. No hand massage which I don't care for cuz I was hungry lol $35 for cat eye gel, they do take card or Zelle (no venmo) Tip for folks - please don't skim on tips! I know it's subjective but this place is affordable so 15-20% for tip is like 4-6 bucks but if they're above and beyond, a little more isn't that much.
