Soon as we walked in for our 3 pm appointment , I can see we were being rushed to pick a color and to decide on what we wanted to get . I had to ABRUPTLY tell them in their own language NO RUSH , please DONT RUSH US . It's only 15 seconds of us trying to decide . Moving forward We had decided and sat down for the technician to begin , the technician was handed a picture which she stared at for 1 hour while doing the nails , and can u believe that this lady had the audacity to tell me that she's the best in the shop , no one's going to do the design better and I'm thinking she's blind ! even the guy there was being very dismissive about the situation ! I'm showing them the picture and comparing it to the work that was done and they're looking at me like I'm trying to rob them for a free manicure . So now I'm dealing with 1 them not even bothering to look at their mistakes 2 me giving them the opportunity to look at the proof thats right in front of em 3 having to see my daughter rush to the bathroom come back out with wiped off tears & discomfort now sitting in her soul cause she's 60% satisfied that it doesn't look like she wanted , 4 still dealing w pleading to have this fixed and then 5 to be treated like some illiterate or crazy quickly being dismissed That's gotta be some type of profiling / low key racism / hate crime happening so I didn't wanna cause a scene but I let it be known of all the mistakes that were made and how it's not OK to treat customers like this && still was refused w a solution . The technicians suggestion was She'd rather take off the nails & for us to leave with no pay . I said no ma'am I'm going to pay for these nails cause I have the money in full , I'm not looking for a bargain ; just do a retouch or like suggested on taking them off but just do them all over && I was REFUSED ! ! Their response was me being told over and over that it can't be fixed in anyway but they can take off the nails WITHOUT doing the job all over THAT WE CAN LEAVE exactly how we came . WOW that's when I knew that this place was garbage / scam They knew they messed up , saw and took the opportunity to take advantage of a single dad with his daughter. I was dying to make things right and walk out the door. Of course I paid in full cause I'm not that type of guy but I had to experience the most legal robbery ever . I should've saw the signs at first cause While waiting for my kids nails to be done I got a 1hour foot massage and COMMUNITY let me take the time to give you my thanks for reading this far but wait until I explain this other experience ! I'm the type of guy that this whole nail salon scenery stuff is new to me . So I'm intrigued by the massage chairs and the foot rub but I'm looking over occasionally as to see what my daughters up to . So everytime I look over there was always a technician walking passed my daughters chair , we can assume they were busy but not once did any of them consider to tell my daughter , that her jacket fell on the floor . I counted 5 times a technician walked passed her without saying anything about her jacket but I ended up asking my foot rubber to please ask someone to pick up the coat , it fell on 2 occasions and I asked on both for their hospitality so thank you ma'am I should've tipped her she was nice enough to pick it up but ehh not that great at rubbing . why does QUEENS NAILS AT MAHOPAC NY gotta give a first time customer such a bad experience .
