The experience was excellent. It was my first visit at this location (Plainview).
It was an easy online process for providing insurance information and scheduling an appointment.
Check in was done through a text link on my cell phone.
I was the only patient at 6:30 am, perhaps because of inclement weather.
The waiting room and laboratory were relatively clean.
Sultan, the lab technician, graciously informed me about Quest's new policy of putting a $100 debit/card hold on every patient's account before any lab test is done. I complied, and I will now contact my insurer to verify the legality.
He effortlessly drew my blood for a fasting lab test. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and my arm remained bruise free hours later.
The Quest app notified me of my results the next morning.
I have been to most of the Quests on Long Island because I need frequent blood work. I am giving this location minus one star because of the $100 hold. read more
