We had the best, and I mean the BEST meal of our lives last night! The freshest most succulent melt-in-your-mouth seafood dishes prepared by Rafa and served by Rosa. I have one word that sums up the food...SUBLIME. It's simply prepared on a Planxa (a cast iron griddle)... just a little salt, a little olive oil and a whole lotta love. We ordered the baby clams, espardenyas (sea cucumbers), chaperones (grilled baby squid), huge briney fresh oysters on the shell and succulent shelled shrimp in a onion/garlic sauce all washed down with a nice bottle of roja and topped off by a beautiful dessert plate of in house homemade creamy cottage cheese with honey, velvety chocolate cake and a pumpkin pie with a special pumpkin or calabasa that is specific to this region. Rafa and Rosa where such gracious hosts! Rosa guided wisely with her wonderful recommendations on what dishes to try and Rafa came to our table often to give us a little history behind each dish!
