I was looking at some photos that I took of this shopping strip (Steeple Center) and noticed the Rainbow Shops store. I usually don't walk to this end of the strip and wasn't even sure if this store was still in business until I checked their website. Since I had a little time while stopping at some other stores in the strip, I came in to check the store out.
I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the store. The store is very neat, however, there is a lot of merchandise and it did feel slightly congested. As I walked up the main aisle, I was greeted by Jade. We chatted a little and she told me to just ask if I need any help. Both Jade and the cashier were very nice.
The website mentioned shoes, but there was only a small section. I noticed some ankle boots and heels (HIGH heels) and a wall with flip flops hanging.
There was a section of wall with some earwarmer headbands displayed. I thought they were reasonably priced for this time of year at $2.99-3.99. A warm cranberry-colored one got my attention and I ended up buying something that I really don't need. Gotta have an impulse buy every now and then! : )
The clothing in general looked attractive. I looked at a few price tags and the items I looked at were reasonably priced. The style of clothing and music in the background are geared toward much younger shoppers than this retired gal!
This is the first time I have ever been in a Rainbow Shops store. Although not quite the styles for me, I thought it was a pleasant store and think that it is probably worth stopping by and checking it out if you are a younger gal and like to shop--or need a nice earwarmer headband! read more
