Off the beaten path, this is a nice stop for pretty standard Southern diner food. Nice salad bar and the hamburger steaks we had were good. Service was fast and friendly. Owner and his wife work elsewhere and run this restaurant as a sideline. The restaurant has a railroad theme which is appropriate to celebrate the town's railroad history. Ramer was established along the Mobile and Ohio Railroad after it was built around 1856. The Mobile and Ohio at the time was the longest North-South Railroad in the continental United States. The Mobile and Ohio crossed the Memphis Charleston Railroad in the nearby town of Corinth, Mississippi and was a major military objective during the Civil War. History abounds in this part of the South and railroad memorabilia is a large part of the decor in the restaurant. A nice stop if you are passing this way.
