It is nice that the Four Corners community has a restaurant that explores multiple Asian cuisines. So I appreciate that I could pick between Japanese, Chinese, and Thai options. However, I do wish that Red Maple would narrow their vast menu to perfect a smaller menu of excellent dishes.
I was disappointed by the two dishes that I received. I went with two sushi rolls which *should have been an easy home run. Spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls. Both lacked flavor, tasted of panko filler; and the soy was awful. Next I had their "Thai" basil which was some form of a bell pepper and mushroom stir fry with chicken strips. Pad Krapow Gai should be a ground chicken dish with crispy basil and small spicy peppers. Any Thai aficionado who sees the photo I took will be horrified.
We went on a Sunday, so service was light and set up for mostly a carry-out crowd. It appears that much of their business is oriented to carry out. However, they do have a nice bar area with live sports, so that's a big plus.
All together, this place is okay if you are local, hungry, and looking for something different than the local pub fare. I do hope that Red Maple can at least spend a little time to improve their menu options by doing a little research on each dish. read more
