Beware of using this contractor. We purchased a home built by Kelly Reich. When I redecorated the bathroom we found out the vanity light had been installed without using an electrical box. Just wires coming out of one of two holes that looked like they were put there with a hammer. We installed a box before putting in the new light.
Then latter I kept smelling something that smelled like smoldering in the walls. Then a line of at least three outlets when down. There were also two breakers in the main box acting strange. Whenever I switched one on the other would trip off. This went back and fourth. So I went out and purchased two breakers and three outlets thinking whatever the issue I could take care of it. When I went to take the faceplate off the first outlet (the last in the line) the plate had to be pried off the wall, then I found the box was completely filled with spray foam. As I started digging the foam from around the outlet I noticed some of the foam was brown. Ok, looked like the source of the smell. After I finally got the outlet free and out of the box I then started clearing out the foam. Then I noticed some of the foam had completely melted and turned into a blob of black hard resin type stuff filling part of the box. Then I knew I had just gotten lucky the house had not burned down. It is ok to put foam around a box, not in it as the wires overhead and it could cause a fire. Now I have to open every outlet to see if any more are like this one. I will also have to rerun the wire as I the wires have heated up to the point of damaging the insulation around the wires.
