To escape the tourists in the North, head down De Pijp to Café Reuring for good modern Dutch food. This is proper no-fuss but comfy neighbourhood restaurant. More locals than tourists, friendly staff with a nice wine list. Afterwards (or before) you can walk across the road to their cocktail bar Paskamer.
