After many years of searching for a Pau Keni-keni, I found it at Richard Lyons Nursery. The nursery is full of unusual tropical plants that are difficult to find. Many plants to attract hummingbirds and butterflies and collections of plants from around the world!! I found many varieties of Passion vines as well as a Petrea vine from Australia, and a New Guinea Trumpet vine. Both special to me in that my mom was from Australia and my father fought in the South Pacific during WWII, campaigns in New Guinea and The Philippines. Though my parents are no longer with me, I feel like a part of them resides in my garden. The blossoms are magnificent! I had to travel over three hours to get to the nursery, but it was well worth the trip. I spoke with Richard personally before making the journey and the staff that assisted me were awesome. read more
