From Nikki's review
Nov 10, 2024
I checked out a new to me brewery today, my 357th. I arrived a few minutes before open, not the first car to be there! Upon entering I already liked it.... standard height tables everywhere, lots of room, lots of light and the wallpaper... a little trippy.... I love it! There were two tables along the wall, by the cooler, below the merch. I opted for one of those so I could chat up the staff.... and oh...did I chat.... I was unstoppable!! ....sorry. Nick and Thea were super friendly. Nick turns out to be brewer/owner Chris' brother. After chatting them up I opted to build a flight. Once finishing that and perusing the tap list for what beer I should opt for a pint, I instead decided to try another flight and try every beer that was on tap. I only skipped the seltzers today, those will be my next visit. For only being open a couple of months, Chris has it dialed in!! Beers here aren't good...they are absolutely delicious. Trying all eight beers from IPA's to sours... there wasn't one I would hesitate to order again! Including The OG IPA or the Caramel Harvest Pale Ale. I can't be positive but maybe it' s he caramel that eases the bitterness, making it very approachable. If I had to choose... HAD to.... I would opt for the Malt Wave as an everyday drinker. The beers are all a reasonable 4 - 7% ABV. So after drinking through eight flight pours I was able to leave without feeling like I had drank such. There isn't too many but enough TV's to watch your sports while you imbibe. Parking is easy with their own private lot and getting here is easy, with just a couple of turns off the freeway on to 101. When I got to my last taster of my first flight, I took a sip of Champagne of the North sour and brewer/owner Chris came to my table... shaking my hand as he introduced himself and setting down a taster of the RBF sour, that's no longer on tap but Thea had said had the snap I look for in a sour. She wasn't wrong and it was delicious!! Despite how fantastic it was and available in single can to-go, I didn't purchase any. With the kindness and hospitality that Nick and Thea exemplified today, I know that I prefer to drink at the tap room "it just tastes better w great company". Thanks Nick for the Ripple Effect sticker!! I will proudly represent the brewery on my truck! Thanks Ripple Effect for an absolutely delicious inaugural visit and being about only a 30 mile drive and opening before rush hour @ 3 during the week you will likely become a regular stop. I look forward to Chris' future brews and trying the seltzers. Cheers to making my personal list of Top Breweries and Top Brewers lists with just one visit! read more
