Let's start with the pros: Clean - immaculately so (it may be because the place was deserted on a Saturday - which I didn't know was a thing. Most manicure places I know of are hopping!), and had things like files which were single use, and they let me take home Polite Staff - Their credit card / debit terminal wasn't working (some connection / internet issue - wasn't their fault, other retailers also affected), and they kindly helped my friend find an ATM close by Nicely designed and comfortable space - self explanatory Cons: Upselling - I've seen in other posts about the 'up-selling'. Now, I didn't notice this on my trip (my bestie treated me!), but she did mention the last time she went there, they tried to upsell a LOT. It made her uncomfortable, because her sister was treating her for her birthday, and she didn't know what was okay. Then her sister was put in the uncomfortable position of having to say those extra things weren't covered (she got shellac mani and shellac pedi, so a nice service). Quality of manicure - I probably should have started here! I get shallac manicures fairly often, and have even started a foray into doing them myself. I was really disappointed with the longevity of the final product. The pedicure was okay, and still good good (although, I had to ask her 2 or 3 times to trim my toes a bit shorter, and finally gave up trying to convey it to the attendance who did my service). The manicure is a legit mess, though. To put it in context, it's been about a week and a half, and I have a ton of growth (more than usual - since the colour didn't go as close to the cuticle as usual), and it's lifting on almost all my nails! My hair kept getting stuck when I would brush or style it, so I had to remove it today. Which I did my simply peeling it off, in whole nail sized pieces, which is pretty nuts for a 'shellac' manicure. I can't figure out how to attach pictures - if I can, I'll add them, since I took some purely for this review. I was going to say, save your money, and go to my fave place at Seven Oaks, but I'm shocked that both are the same chain / company (Luv Nails), just different locations. read more
