This is a small park right along the Malden River in Everett. There is plenty of parking and trails to explore. It's located behind an industrial park so don't get discouraged if you look for it. There are no facilities so be aware. They do have a small boathouse and a set of kayaks so perhaps they will be for rent? Also, the city seems to be investing in the park as there is a large area marked as a native plant meadow and butterfly garden. So far, the non-native vegetation removal seems to be underway. But, planting of native butterfly host plants and pollinators has not started. Once this is done, it will make for a fantastic butterfly garden along the river! I'd recommend coming back in six months or a year and seeing where this stands. Perhaps they are accepting volunteers to hasten the transformation of this area? Life is good with bold plans! read more
