Russ the owner of RM Mechanical was to install roof top package unit and remove the existing swamp coolers on a 10 room hotel remodel project. They came in $3500 more expensive than other companies but they could do it in the timeframe I needed. The install went fine, but were very dirty, and used the white guest towels to clean up their mess. They destroyed the towels and were mad when I confronted them about them. Over the next year the hotel was getting renovated and only had 5 weekends that were open. The heater worked good for the first 3 stays. The AC was only used 2 times and on the 2nd time used, guests informed staff there was water coming from the ceiling. Turns out the hvac condensation was leaking into the attic. The insulation soaked up the water but after being used for days in end, the water leak finally leaked into the hotel. The time the problem was found was 1 year 3 weeks after install. The problem has been occurring since install but wasn't detected until after 1 year mark. RM Mechanical refused to come out for warranty call unless I pay and almost $300 service call. They state "the problem should have been found in the first year, it's past 1 years warranty so if I come out, it's service call fee" 1) The refuse to warranty and have any customer service 2)are super messy and leave construction debris in the attic thinking no one will notice 3) more expensive then most I would not recommend this company. read more
