I came with friends for a pint and conversation. My tastes in beer run towards the dark and malty. Alas, the only dark beer on tap last weekend was Something Dark. It was a coffee stout. I had a sample, but the finish was not to my taste. Sort of like a rough coffee. I decided to have the pilsner, instead. The pils was okay, but not my first choice for a cold wintry day in the mountains.
