Temple Texas May not be known for its fine dining; but this place definitely puts it on the map. I'm no expert on Indian cuisine but the food was delicious. Now I love spice but I must say the medium spice palette was hot! Lol. I enjoyed it but I will be ordering mild moving forward. The place is easy to find it's right off 31st St. (the same street as the hospital), right on the corner. We were greeted as soon as we came in the restaurant and our drinks were brought out quickly. Everything was expertly prepared. Make sure you try the fried cauliflower oh my goodness, it's a jamboree of flavor! Upgrade to the lemon rice with your dish for an unexpectedy unique treat. The portions were generous and even my lunch guest (who eats like he's recently been held hostage) had some to take home. I've tried Indian cuisine at other restaurants but Roopa's is my favorite. read more
