Husband & I noted Rossi & Grassi to try their Gorgonzola. We definitely had a language barrier with the sweetest grandpa working behind the counter, but thank goodness for Google Translate! We had a bit of a miscommunication where he packed up everything for us to go (so sorry!!) but we ended up wanting to sit outside and he was so kind and offered to plate everything for us and turn on the lighting and heating for us while we ate! So sweet & we appreciated it since it was our first day in Milan.
I do have to recommend trying the Gorgonzola & any of their other fresh salads with olive oil. We had the shrimp seafood salad, and it was refreshing and a palate cleanser for the Gorgonzola and prosciutto we got. The Gorgonzola is the best I've ever tried. Overall pretty mild in flavor, but the green parts had more of a wasabi kick is the best way I could describe it which surprised me! I enjoyed it though. Wished we could've taken some home but Milan was the middle of our trip =')
We loved their olive oil so much we came back to buy some small bottles just to show our appreciation and saw the sweet grandpa again! I would be a regular here if I lived in Milan! Grazie mille!! read more
