I only shop at Rustan's Fresh if I'm going to get very specific items that aren't easily found anywhere else, and these are vegan food. First, I go here to get this brand of non-dairy ice cream called So Delicious. It's... so delicious indeed. Haha, no seriously. Their ice cream is made of almond milk and coco milk variants. It's an imported brand so it's a bit pricier than local versions but absolutely worth it. I'm a sucker for plain vanilla, but they have other more decadent flavours as well. Secondly, Rustan's also stocks this brand of imported veggie burgers called Amy's. It comes in a box of 4 and is around 300 pesos, which I think is quite reasonably priced if you consider how tedious it is to make an actual veggie burger of such quality with the same (ish) ingredients. Lastly, I love Waitrose brands. They have such beautiful packaging! (Sorry, graphic designer here) Other than how pretty they look, this brand has a lot of kitchen staples that are suitable for vegans. I love their muesli cereals. Also, if you're too lazy to visit the Messy Bessy and Human Nature stores, they do stock some of their natural home and body care products here at Rustan's. Do check out the prepared food section/kiosk outside the supermarket. You can find salads (that are vegan, or if not, easily veganizable) and veggie wraps, pasta, and sometimes they have cheap ready-made hummus as well! HUMMUS. read more
