"Oh my god, this guy is a genius!"- the first words out of my mouth when I saw Ryan the Balloon Guy in action. Besides being a genius, this guy is a balloon GOD. We hired him for a work-related event and he was the highlight of the night, both for kids and adults. He doesn't make the boring balloon animals- he makes multi-ballooned, over the top, super fun works of art. My friend got a gigantic hat with two martians shooting each other with ray guns. One of the students wanted something for his mom- he got a stork carrying a baby in a basket (mom was pregnant). Besides being uber-creative, he is friendly and good-natured. He told me that he doesn't like making the same balloon twice in one night. According to his website he charges $100/hour, which I think is pretty decent...plus he doesn't carry a tip jar! Apparently this guy is hot stuff in Hampton Roads because we tried to book him for another event and he was already booked months in advance. read more
