I've been riding food heights in Europe be let down with my first meal in Lisbon.. I ordered the paella and only ate half of it. It had a burnt bottom because it cooked too fast as it came out faster than normal from other restaurants. Also, I only ate half of it because, it had too much saffron which gives it a medicinal taste. Seafood was not cooked evenly. I only ate one of the whitefish and the shrimp. The shellfish and other fish were overcooked. Peas had a desiccated mouth feel.
I didn't have staff issues like the other reviews. Although I think I know who they are referring to, because he made an extra effort to stay even tempered, even though he had flashes of impatience. read more
