Believe the hype...this is the best restaurant in Clovis....by a long shot. In a town where it can be challenging (to put it mildly) to find anything authentic, Servicio Azteca is a gem. Absolutely the freshest, best Mexican (not "New" Mexican - important distinction) food I've ever had - all served by the friendliest smiling folks you could hope for. From the open-topped ice chest full of bottled bebidas, to the fantastic salsa bar, to the room in the back where you can watch them making their tortillas (which also yield the best chips - ever - for munching while waiting for your entreé) from start to finish this place is great. I've had both their standard combination platters as well as their quesadillas, which alone make this worth a stop, but the tacos are this joint's raison d'être They've got the full fare of asada, adovada, barbacoa, al pastor, lengue...and it goes on and on. All of these meats are provided from the market next door and served piping hot on the aforementioned fantastic tortillas. Although they come out naked, after a trip to the salsa bar you can top them any way your heart desires. It's slightly hidden (which I like) and they aren't open for dinner EXCEPT on weekends (and then only till 6), but if you live in Clovis, do yourself a favor and go.
