What a great find! This is the new no name speakeasy like bar. It is in the basement of a row house. I read the owner lives upstairs. So cool! I got there at 6 pm on Wednesday and it was already almost full! So get there early or make a reservation. It has beautiful decor with a fireplace, art and exposed light bulbs.
The menu is very cleverly organized by spirit without names for the cocktails. The cocktails are listed from sweet at the top to savory and boozy at the bottom. There is only one cocktail per spirit so the menu is not confusing. I hate super long menus at cocktail bars. They also have snacks of nuts, cheese and olives.
My favorite drink was the tequila one with cucumber and green chartreuse. It was served in a beautiful antique glass with a burnt lemon slice on top.
A guy who I assume was the owner was they. He walked around and made sure everyone was well taken care of. It was like being in someone's home rather than a bar! Well, I guess you are almost! He looked the part of a hip artisan bar guy with a shaved head and long beard.
For now, they are only open Wednesday through Saturday. But he said they may open on Sunday in the future. I highly recommend this! Get there before there is a waiting list to get in! read more
