Nov, 2025. Tacna, AZ. This Shell service station is located conveniently off I-8, east of Yuma, AZ; it's immediately after a large Pilot station and it's easy to confuse the entrances between the two. Shell offers gasoline, diesel, and electric vehicle (EV) (including Tesla) charging with 23 charge points; the price for gas was competitive. Restrooms were immaculate. There's a Subway restaurant on site, as well as a coffee station, and snacks galore. There's also a super helpful machine outside wherein you can purchase gallons of water (very useful in the desert! And, as part-time RVers, we'd love to see these everywhere).
The primary reason for our stop was for my husband to get coffee, as he needed some caffeine given our long drive. He got a dark roast, which he characterized as good and hot. Seemed to be expensive at $2.66, but we're not sure of the going rates these days given tariffs on coffee. The cashier was efficient, but neither friendly nor unfriendly.
We would stop here again. read more
