There are plenty of pumps and an ample-sized parking lot at this Shell location, but a very small store, which is probably why it is usually never that busy. In fact, I stopped here for a couple Red Bulls the other day after passing by the Cumberland Farms just up the road, because Cumby's parking lot was jam-packed. This location, at the corner of Cowesett and Coit avenues, is usually easy to get in and out of, and it is conveniently located for me. Given its small size, it's definitely not a full-service convenience store - just some basic snacks and drinks. It reminds me of an old-school gas station convenience store, like one I used to work in about 30 years ago when I was in college - not many of these left in an era of super-sized Cumbys. Although I have stopped at this location occasionally over the course of many years, I only just found out on my last visit that they have a public bathroom - I assumed the store was just too small to have a public bathroom, so I never bothered to look or ask for one. There is only one employee on duty here at any given time - that's all that is needed - and the employees who work there have always been polite. All in all, this is a good alternative if you are in a hurry and just want to grab some gas and/or basic snacks. read more
