This location is now open as of Sunday, March 30th, 2025! Located on the southeast corner of the Bellaire and Mason intersection, this Shipleys is brand new and next door to a "Break Time" convenience store that is not yet open at this time. However, the Shipleys is fully up and running, including its drive-thru! There is plenty of parking though if you want to go inside. At first entrance, everything looks really organized and clean, as you would expect of a new store. They also had a few simple, but nice decor on the walls. The staff were very welcoming and clearly eager to start serving customers. I spoke with a manager who said they will have their Grand Opening later this month on April 26th once they have worked out a few kinks. One of those kinks are that they don't serve iced coffee at this location , yet it still shows up on the menu. Their food tasted pretty much what I am accustomed to when it comes to Shipleys - big kolaches and tasty donuts that aren't over glazed or too sweet. I tried the sausage and cheese kolache and the bacon, egg, and cheese, both were great. I did want the jalapeño sausage and cheese, but they didn't have any available at the time. I will note this was around noon on a Tuesday. Besides the kolaches and donuts, my wife also tried the beignets (they have a 4 for $2 deal), however, she said they didn't seem as fresh as ones she's had at other locations, so that was the only disappointment with this visit. Overall though, we were satisfied. While we did eat at home, they had a microwave and bar tops to eat in store if you preferred to. I'd recommend visiting this location if it is close to you, but take note they are still new and will be continuing to work out kinks. It may be best to come in the morning while things are still fresh or wait till after their grand opening when they should have everything on point at all times! This location is open 5am-5pm daily!
