I hired this company referred by someone in the freight/shipping industry, The husband /wife team) came to give an estimate, took pictures of all my furniture and sent the quote . He assured me he was going to be there for both the packing of the furniture and on moving day but 2 days before he told me he WASN'T coming for pack up day he was going to Disney university with his daughter but he'd be monitoring the men remotely and I had nothing to worry about he had far more complex moves than mine ! That statement intimidated me so I said ok but when the men arrived not one of them spoke English and we could not communicate. They parked in front of my neighbors house blocking her so I TRIED to explain to them that they can't do that that's not fair to my neighbor which was when they all got back in the moving truck folded their arms and sat there . I had Also asked where they were putting the furniture? was the truck staying overnight ? None of these things were explained to me prior other than that I was going to have exceptional white glove service and nothing to worry about. What I interpreted from them was that they were parking the truck in a parking lot somewhere so I proceeded to call the owner I was upset and I told him I didn't understand what was happening . He became defensive and gave me an attitude and told me if you can do it better you should do it yourself !!! . I said I can't that's why I hired you . He hung up on me and I called him back and left voice mails but he never answered . He didn't monitor them remotely and never showed up On moving day, Met them at the new apartment and they proceeded to bring my boxes and furniture up and there wasn't one thing that wasn't piece of furniture that wasn't scratched , heavily damaged or ripped. Then they announced my couch didn't fit in the elevator , I live in the penthouse on the 33 rd floor of an apartment building in south beach Miami, 11 apartments per floor, a sizable building. I asked them what would you like me to do ? Two of my beds were completely scratched one so bad the paint stripped away , two book cases cases scratched everywhere, a torn lamp shade a chipped nightstand , dented table , chairs to table scratched , broken vase and outdoor furniture . There was a very nice electrician here who was helping me through this as the owner was unreachable and didn't show up because he was offended . Finally after all the boxes were brought up I called downstairs to The main office and asked if the couch was too big for the elevator, it was 99 inches , they said no . They proceeded to bring the couch up I was so excited I bought them pizza and drinks and I started unpacking but before they left I noticed the couch was torn in every corner . I still tipped them all 400 dollars even though they damaged everything . It cost me nearly 4500 dollars to move 20 minutes away and I was beside myself. I waited 2 days and I never heard a word from the owner George Kande , so I wrote him and no answer then I wrote again and asked for his email to which he gave me and wrote him an email addressing the matter and that I'd like to solve this amicably to which he didn't respond. After 3 weeks of him not responding and him sending the electrician to try to paint things I was visibly upset and it took its toll on my health . Not only was he rude to me from the beginning , he didn't make good on his promise that he'd be monitoring the move , didn't show up for the actual move and ignored all my correspondence. I finally told him I'm going to call the police and hire an attorney. After the attorney wrote them the electrician who was the only one helping stopped answering my texts leaving the work he'd started unfinished . I ended up paying out of my own pocket for things to be fixed but the couch which was less than a year old , an expensive custom lampshade and an expensive vase that they packed were unable to be fixed . To this day I've never heard from him once . He lied to my attorney and told Him I said the couch would fit prior to the move which is false it was not my job to do tha it was his. He also lied and said the bed was damaged which was also untrue , both he and I have before and after pictures of every single thing that was to be moved. If something were broken beforehand he would have notated it in writing but everything was brand new so he couldn't do that . I do not recommend using this company as you will become increasingly frustrated and end up having to pay out of your own picket to replace your irreparable items . read more
