What a beautiful eclectic village that was made from garbage of an abandoned California dump, that was once an Army base, even before the dump. Make sure you visit the library, Cornelius Van Gogh, the Librarian will even let you take out books and return them whenever you return to Slab City. If I'm not mistaken; Tuesday night is movie night outside the library. Just ask for details inside.
