Today was their first day open to the public. There are two lanes for the drive-thru to order and for mobile pick up which I personally think is a great idea. The staff inside, Makayla and Amia provided excellent service throughout my experience at Dothan's new location. I can still hear Makayla saying "Welcome to Slim Chickens" in my head when I first walked in. All with a smile Makayla continued to check on me as I was eating. At the end of my meal Amia make sure to come check on me and offer to dispose of my trash. I noticed as I sat and ate my food, both Amia and Makayla were engaged and pleasant with customers when ordering and after the transaction. Also met the training manager Monica, who was friendly as well and reminded me about the survey to get a free brownie. I hope the great customer service stays in place long after the initial opening. Slim Chickens offers tenders, wings, sandwiches, salad, desserts in jars and shakes. They also have a macaroni bowl, chicken wrap and chicken and waffle available. Since I hadn't eaten breakfast yet, but also wanted to try the chicken I ordered the chicken and waffle. It was great, the waffle was freshly made topped with a dollop of butter, kinda needed two dollops since the waffle was about 6-7 inches in diameter, but that's just me, I like to smother my food with butter because everything is better with butter. The chicken was juicy and tender and bottles of Log Cabin syrup is available to add more to the waffle. I don't live in Alabama, so I'll definitely be back before I leave. read more
