Just below Felipe and Sons is a Puerto Rican restaurant serving Puerto Rican comfort food. The place is nothing fancy but is homey, casual, and welcoming. It's a good break from the usual restaurants because of the homey ambiance it has.
We went here at quite an odd time, around 3pm to be exact. We walked in and had the whole place to ourselves. We were pleasantly greeted by the staff with smiles and the usual "Good afternoon Sir" or "Hi Sir". We ordered the Cuban sandwich and some Mofongo with Carnitas just for us to taste and sample what Puerto Rican food would be like. In the middle of the restaurant, there are some board games and dominoes which you can use to play while waiting for your food. The food we had tasted like some good old home cooking a mother would do after a long exhausting week. It was warm, comforting, and felt familiar. The ambiance here is quite relaxed and seems like the kind of place where you play some dominoes, hangout for a bit, and then eat your nice warm meal - a place that you could sort of call home. read more
