At first he came in all nice and accommodating to make the quote. I advised him in the beginning that I pay for customer service. I did not haggle his prices and paid without delay for all work with no haggle. Then it was one thing after another. I should have known on the day they screamed up the stairs while I was working from home, to come down. (This happened continuous throughout my work day while I was on virtual calls with my patients). They told me all of the cabinets were scratched and had to be replaced. Come to find out from the supplier the cabinets had a protective film over them which they didn't know they had to remove. He was rude to the cabinet supplier on the phone. That slowed them down because it took time before the supplier in Philadelphia could figure out why scratched cabinets went out. The worker he had at the time, kept leaving early with my house a mess. It took two weeks to sand and paint a living room and kitchen, which I asked for after they finished the Kitchen. I paid for that and I have had painters here to confirm the paint job was terrible. I had to literally tell the man that his constant smoking on my property with my garage door open was making my house smell like smoke. It kept happening. I have asthma. The cabinets that they hung did not have handles. I asked for push mechanism, that I paid for, most do not close properly and the doors are on uneven. He never mentioned that he has never hung my type of cabinets until the end. The most professional I thought at the time was the men that he brought in to do the floor. They were done in a day, which I thought was strange but by then I wanted them out my house. As a contractor, he often didn't show up without notice or came with notice. Finally, I reached about a little over a month (In May) after the project was done and informed that the floor was coming up and you can read all of the delays and responses. In the end after the comment he made when I said I felt bullied, which was because he made it seem like he did me a favor by taking on my project, which I paid for, my family advised not to let this man back in my house. Write the review and take the loss. Now this is a big almost $5K loss. I have had numerous contractors in my house since I brought it in January. All were professional, responsive, accommodating (which I pay for, I don't work for free, I am a high paid medical professional and I don't expect anyone else too), affordable, fair and on time. Out of all of them, this is the only one I saved pictures on or wrote a negative comment. It's been since May. I think this review is well due. I wonder if it was because I am a single woman or an African American Single Woman? Below are pictures of tile, paint on the floor, paint on my furniture, misaligned cabinets and a crack on the ceiling they were to repair. read more
