What a fun stop! We made the drive to Spangler Candy World as part of a day trip, and it was well worth it. The visitor center is bright, nostalgic, and full of fun displays celebrating so many classic candies. My husband was definitely in his element. We left with Dum Dums, Bit-O-Honey, Peanut Bunnies, candy wafers... and apparently two T-shirts! The sneak! I only realized the second shirt made it into our bag when I looked at the receipt later. The staff was friendly, everything was clean and well organized, and there were plenty of unique gifts and candy you don't always find in stores. Even if you're not a huge candy person, it's a fun place to visit for the nostalgia and the history. If you're looking for a unique day trip in northwest Ohio, I definitely recommend stopping at Spangler Candy World. We had a great time and would happily visit again. read more
