Two statues in front of The Temple Downtown on St Francis Street, only a block or so over from all the bars, restaurants on Dauphin Street, also short walk from Cathedral Square & Cathedral Basilica of The Immaculate Conception. The Temple is a performing arts venue/ hall, I believe it was originally The Scottish Rite Temple. I always get a big kick out of these statues every time I am downtime, & find them hilarious when I am out bar hopping at night downtown. I noticed a lot of tourists walking around downtown, good place for a photo opportunity, they take lots of pictures and selfies with the statues. The building and statues probably have historical significance, like nearly everything in downtown Mobile. read more
