I Love Spoon! Its super cute, spacious, has great couches for teas and coffee. Its open till late too, which is almost unheard of for a place that serves coffee and teas, in Edinburgh. Great local food and produce, which make delicious dishes. The place has a hipster feel but in a "not trying to hard" way. Cool eclectic furniture and dishes- hip grandmas house . Professional service which is always a plus. I have gotten hot chocolate there once with a friend and it was delicious! This time I had a dinner with my husband and was not disappointed. I got the pre-theatre set meal with the mushroom dumpling stew and it was filling and delicious. I had for dessert the lemon polenta cake with marscopane which was nice but a eww bit wet with the lemon sauce. Can't wait to go back. read more
