We decided to stop by two wineries on the way to Bicheno. Spring Vale Vineyards was the first one. It's in some very cool digs. The tastings are done right in the original convict built building. Very classy with a bit of a rustic feel to it. Wine tastings are free AND unlimited. Talk about dangerous! There was a mix of reds and whites that we sampled. The host was engaging and knowledgeable. Cool that they have a bin end specials ($28.00 to 30.00 AUD) for bottles that were slight imperfect. They even let us sample a few of their grapes that were on the counter. - Spring Vale rose 2017 ($30.00 AUD) - we bought a bottle for our friend as they liked the rose the best.
