Stickley produces handcrafted furniture known for its Arts and Crafts, Mission, and Craftsman styles. Pieces feature solid wood construction and traditional joinery techniques. It's been around since 1900, so that's over 125 years. Also much of the production still is done in New York and North Carolina.
We stopped into the Paramus location this past week. Steven spoke to us, showed us various lines, and pointed out the different woods, stains, and fabrications available. He was great. He also pulled up pieces online for us to see and told us about the history of Gustav Stickley and the American Arts and Crafts Movement. There was also information about the Stickley Museum in Morris Plains at this location. We left with so much information and also identified the Park Slope line as close to what we're looking for to suit our needs.
The store/showroom had a different location in Paramus previously, but it has since moved onto the Paramus Design Center campus. It's much easier to get here now compared to where it was before... Overall, 5-stars! read more
