I stopped in here on my way to a meeting as I needed to print a few documents. What first struck me is the beautiful tree lined exterior, a traditional brick building with a contemporary extension at the back. The entrance is quite grand and as you enter there is a reception desk manned with a very helpful (and trendy!) librarian. I told her this is not my usual library but I just beed to print a few things and she helped me get set up at one of the computers. All the facilities are well laid out and very clean.
They do have wheelchair access at the back of the building and an elevator up to the second floor. The children's section is very sweet. They have a kid sized train for playing or sitting on to curl up with a story. there is also a large fish tank making the place seem very serine and relaxed.
I'm a big fan of EPL but this location is by far the most pleasant of their locations to spend time in. Apparently it is the oldest library in Edmonton, it has been well cared for which is lovely to see. read more
