I have a 50 year old Drexel Heritage bedroom set, in perfect condition. The quality and details are unmatched today. We moved to Florida and the set would look more coastal in a painted white finish. John quoted a price of $3000.00 to paint the amoire, dresser, mirror and 2 side tables to white. i thought this was extremely high but was promised would look as though it came out of the showroom. I asked if the insides would be painted and yes they would. john said it would take about 4 weeks; three months later it was done. My husband said the insides were not painted and that I was disappointed. John now claimed the insides would be more money. John obviously doe not remember original promises. The set has areas that need touch up upon delivery. I sent photos to clarify. John arrived not only without any paint or person to do touch ups however, he could give us a vial of said paint in a few days we could pick it up at the showroom. Again, we have to touch up his work. ADDITIONALLY , we had a metal Pottery Barn headboard, This I could have sprayed myself with 2 coats of Krylon spray paint at any Lowe's store. John's charge was $800, that it had to be dipped to coat. ( snake oil BS). The headboard took from End of December to Mid April to get back. ALL IN ALL, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN OVER PRICED, FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE , STRIPTIQUE IS FOR YOU. YOU WILL BE MISSING YOUR ITEMS FOR MONTHS WITH NO REGARD TO PROMISES MADE, NO INTEGRITY, A LINE OF EXCUSES , INABILITY TO STAND BEHIND WORKMANSHIP AND BS.
