From Emily's review
Mar 1, 2019
I'm not dramatic, and I know this sounds suuuuper dramatic, especially because I'm about to unleash the all caps, but: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you're even *considering* them right now--stop! Buy your furniture (or whatever) elsewhere! My experience: I ordered the TODD about a month when it was out of stock, happy to wait until March 2nd --which was the date of availability listed in the email they sent me after I gave them my money. Then I noticed on the website that the date got pushed back to March 12th. I wouldn't get my sofa on the date they told me, but rather ten days later. Huh. "OK," I thought. "Weird they haven't sent me an email to tell me--the person who gave them my money--this. Weird that I had to go to their website to learn this." Still, I thought, I'll just wait the extra ten days. I'm sitting on the floor with no sofa at all, but I try to be a patient person--even when my back is in excruciating pain from sitting on the floor. A week later, I visited the site again and saw that the date got pushed back to March 26th. 24 days past the original listed date of availability. So I called them. The woman on the phone, Christina, had a barbaric, disgusting attitude. She was condescending and kept saying that it was the manufacturer's problem and not Strucktube's. Ha! So I explained, with logic, that it is indeed Structube's fault because it's literally THEIR job to communicate with the manufacturer, or, in the least, remove the unavailable item from their website so people don't purchase it for their home and have to go without a place to sit. Why not just take the sold-out items down and re-upload them when they're back to save all the hassle of people purchasing them based on your fake availability date? They take your money and give you no idea as to when your item will actually be available. It might never come for all I know. Do they just keep pushing the date back for months and months, hoping you'll forget? Is this how they make their money? When you search reviews online, you get nothing but bad ones for this company (I even found a whole Twitter account devoted to posting about how shady Structube is!). Please stay far, far away from this horrible business! Don't support them in-store, either. Companies like this need to be taken down and shown that customer's voices do have impact. If you continue to support an obviously shady business, then you're part of the problem and can't complain when you get swindled, when you get awful customer service, etc. By supporting bad companies, you're saying, "It's OK to be shady, to lie, and to treat customers like garbage." You create no need for companies to compete, therefore you'll get treated like absolute garbage. Please shop at one of the many MUCH better furniture stores--the ones that at least pretend to care about customers, the ones that offer a solution and don't just take your money and act defensive when they don't deliver your item. Look up reviews, do your research: People commonly receive ripped, broken, faulty items from Structube. Slashed couches. Chairs that break when people sit on them, etc. I'm a fair person. One mistake? Fine. A few mistakes? Nobody is perfect. But there are SO many reviews saying that Structube kept pushing the date back on their order with no apologies, no email notification, and then rude customer service. How is that remotely OK? How, at this point, is it "not Strucktube's fault"? I bought the Sofa from Structube, not the manufacturer. They are the ones who have to provide me with the sofa; they're the ones I gave my credit card info' to. Not the manufacturer. It's Structube's job to provide me with a solution. This utter trash can of a company wants to make people buy their products under the false pretense that it'll be available soon after purchase. When your company is this sketchy and poorly-run, you have to resort to such desperate tactics to sell your faulty products, I guess. Another thing: they ONLY post favorable reviews to their website. If someone had a poor experience with the company and leaves an honest, fair review about that problem, Structube will censor it from its visitors. Nice, huh? What's the point of having the 'Review This' option on the site? Good thing there are numerous other platforms to leave reviews on--which I'm off to do. I'm done with this company, but I'm not going to stop reviewing and making other people aware of how shady they are. I know people work hard for their money, and I don't want them throwing it away on selfish, uncaring garbage businesses like this and the horrible people who run and work for Structube. And if you've had a bad experience, PLEASE leave a review! Tell people. Spread the word. Again, you work hard for your money--you deserve at least a little respect from the place you're giving that money to. read more
