I recently went in for my annual blood work, and I'm concerned about how the procedure was handled. The nurse first attempted to draw blood from my left arm but didn't ask me to make a fist. When she didn't see any blood flowing through the tube, she removed the needle and decided to try the right arm. She repeated the process, but again had difficulty, wiggling the needle and eventually using a syringe to draw the blood, which she then transferred into the tubes.
